 Barbara Power is a Wellness Facilitator with a private practice offering a variety of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) modalities including Traditional Holistic Aromatherapy, Holistic Reflexology and Energy Medicine. Barbara applies a humanistic, whole of person approach to her work. This is enhanced by her personal and professional experiences in the health and social care fields, academic achievements at the Bachelor and Master levels (research, counseling and facilitation), and her ongoing education in CAM.
Barbara developed an interest in complementary therapies during the mid 1980’s when she sought non-conventional interventions for a chronic condition. Her growing desire to help others attain their personal health and wellness goals through complementary therapies led her to the School of Complementary Therapies (SCT) in 2004. She is near completion of the Certified Natural Health Practitioner Program, and is expanding her credentials to include teaching. Barbara is studying personally with our founder Jacqueline Fairbrass to complete SCT’s Traditional Holistic Aromatherapy Instructor Training Program. She begins teaching the Traditional Holistic Aromatherapy Training Program in Victoria, British Columbia, this Summer 2009.
Whether in the classroom or working with clients, Barbara’s genuine caring and gentle nature mixed with a great sense of humor adds a wonderful dimension to the learning and healing experience.
